Baby Girl Marathon

Week 24, Day 4

Oh my goodness! I never thought an unborn child would make so much movement! I guess it makes sense, because as she grows her room capacity gets smaller. So she is constantly moving around to get comfortable and stretching to not cramp up those awesome legs of hers =] It has come to the point that I can now feel her move from one side to another even while I'm driving. Although I cannot see her full body move, the feeling itself is remarkable and unexplainable. As Jordan says, "It's a beautiful, but very weird thing." Some nights as I lean against a pillow in bed, I can see a lump across my stomach where she is pushing out. It becomes hard as a rock and resembles a ramp for anything to jump off of. Once it gets more defined, maybe I'll post a picture of it.

A preview to our soon to be new life came on Thursday at 6:30PM when my new baby niece, Taylor Skye, was born. She is so stinking cute! Crystal calls her "Little Bit" and first thing I thought of when I saw her little self was Tinkerbell. She makes me very nervous when I hold her, I just don't want to mess anything up! But I have to learn sometime, and SOON! She has taken over a new spot in my heart and I cannot wait to watch her grow like I have with Trae, he'll be 1 years-old on the 27th.

We have decided to get 4D ultrasounds! Cannot wait to get a glimpse of what Harper will look like. Plus, its a great excuse just to see her again. I'm so impatient and have to see how she's grown since 19 weeks. We have to wait until the 28th week, which is a month away but I guess looking forward to it won't kill me as much. I love the anticipation, but hate it at the same time. We're getting them done at the Lexington Fetal Photography. Crystal and Mark got Trae and Taylor's done there, and they turned out well and said they're experience was enjoyable.
School is going well. My grades are great and I'm getting everything I need done. The best part is, I have not missed one class yet! I don't plan to, but sometimes life happens and must. Of course I've been late, but my teachers aren't mean enough to make me not stay. Thank God! Jordan is doing just as good too! Instead of procrastinating he likes to get his homework done when he gets home, that way he can enjoy the night without any worries. Maybe that will rub off on me at some-point.

I Have the Whole World Under My Shirt

Week 22, Day 1
~Week 21~

My Grandmother has come into town for a long, relaxing visit. She is quite the quilter, and has shown me the beginnings of Harper's first quilt. It's going to be awesome! Colors are yellow and gray, and it'll have a big elephant made of different designs of gray. Very unique, and best part is it'll be big enough even for me! I can see it being the main blanket her and I share as I rock her back to sleep in the middle of the night. The future rocking chair will be my second sleep spot, I can already predict that. (Those chairs have become incredibly comfortable.)

A brilliant thought came to me the other day. I will be about 30 weeks when Black Friday rolls around. And major sales equals major amazing baby shopping. Don't think I've ever been this excited for a 5AM spree. Whatever I don't receive from baby showers, that day will be the day to get what I need....or even what I want =D. Now I have another reason to be thankful for being pregnant during this time. See, there are always positives to a winter season...I won't get so overheated!

Because of Labor Day weekend, I went out for the Labor Day sales. Of course I hit up Babies R Us, and got the award for money saver mother. I'm trying to not to buy anything for Harper until after baby showers. But sometimes when a great deal crosses my path, I follow through. These summer dresses were only $5 each, why wouldn't you buy them!
I also came across this onesie. I did not buy it, instead I'm going to make one. It's much cheaper that way and very simple. Jordan of course fell in love this.
